I have had many Year Up’s but the most important began on Nov. 1st 1993 when I got sober after 20 years of drinking. There were many who helped me that first year and all of the years since. As a result of those who helped me, I made the decision to have a career that would allow me to be of service to others. I now have a career where I am able to be of service to others 6 days a week. 21 years of sobriety later, I am most grateful to be of service to the young adults and staff that we serve here at Year Up. I always wondered growing up, what it would be like to have a “DREAM JOB.” I wonder that no more… I have it here at Year Up and I love to work in a job that allows our students find that dream opportunity as well.
